I still remember those good old days whenever my mum made 'moi' (rice porridge) for my little siblings.
She'll put chopped carrots, potatoes and small bites of meat. I'll make sure i get some, even if i have to scrape the periuk for it.
No matter how hard i tried to replicate her recipes, i never get the same taste.
Never, ever! Mama, i miss your 'moi' .. (at 30 years old! LOL!)
Mummies can choose whether to make pureed baby food, the traditional rice porridge, baby biscuits or the famous Nestum!
I remember how i used to sneak in & took some for myself. Yes, i am such a baby food junkie!
Nowadays, there are so many tools made to help busy mummies out there to make homemade food for their little tots.
My partner, Jade Hamid made an entry of the new gadget she bought for her baby Hana. You can check it out here. She bought the Philips Avent Steamer Blender to make baby food for Hana.
Momtastic have few articles that you can read through for a quick introduction of how to puree & store the baby food and also some recipes to test and experiment.
I know it might be troublesome for working mummies, but making your own baby food for your lil tot can be economical & super healthy for your baby. Give it a try!
Who knows, your cooking, your recipes, the food that you fed them will leave a lingering taste to your kids till they are 30 like me.
So, do you still crave for the baby food made by your mum?
