This week feature: Potty Training Tips

Every parents will face this. It is the next step for your baby.
For this week feature we found a blog sharing potty training tips for parents. The writer shared training tips for boys, girls and toddler.
One of the tips shared to start potty training for your child is to teach them to pee sitting down. This is to expose them that they can pee & poop while sitting down. This will help them to familiarize with concept of potty (pee & poop) without diapers.

Some blog & sites that you can visit are
a. Potty Training Girl ( http://pottytraininggirls.au.com/)
b. Potty Training Art (http://pottytrainingart.blogspot.com/)

There are also many potty training chairs that you can purchase to use for the training.
You can visit the Potty Training Supplies and Potty Training Concept to browse the supplies that you can use in training your child.

The most important thing is, parents must not rush or scold the children if they miss. Parents must keep encouraging them & assuring them that it is normal and they will be able to do it next time.

Parents can also make the training fun by injecting things that will attract them in the training.
One of the idea from the Potty Training Concept is to print out a Potty Training Chart & reward them with star stickers for days that they did not miss.

  1. With my daughter we had a "potty party" and she caught on really quick, with my son, well, he's very stubborn so I'm doing small potty parties with him, once a week, then letting it sit, he's the type of kid that wants it to be his idea, so the potty parties are just to get him to recognize going on the potty, then I'm hoping he decides he's going to just do it. Oh, and we have his favorite thing on hand for any time he does go: doughnuts!
